Patriotic Star Craft for Kids

It's that time of summer when I always seem to forget that July 4th is right around the corner!
If you're looking for a fun craft to do with your kids during family gatherings, or just something to keep them busy until the fireworks begin, here is a fun one for ya!

Supplies:
How to Make it:
  1. Let your kids have fun with the paint and use the blue paint on one piece of paper, and the red paint on another piece. Let them dry for about an hour or so.
  2. Cut stripes, or small rectangles from the red painted paper and glue them onto a white square piece of paper.
  3. Cut a square from the blue painted paper and glue it on top of the white paper square with the red stripes behind it.
  4. From another piece of paper, draw a simple star, then cut it out, kind of rounding out the points a little bit.
  5. Glue the star onto the blue painted paper, and then draw 2 eyes and a small smile.

All done! Use it as decorations for your patriotic festivities!
(**NOTE: you could even make about 6-8 of these and then string them together for a banner for the food table at your BBQ!)
