ABC Race!

Being the mother of a very energetic little boy, I often try to add some physical movement to our activities and games. This one is good for exercise and learning and is a favorite at our house.

I put all the ABC magnets on a tray and put the tray on the table in the kitchen.
Then I go and sit on the couch in the living room and hand a letter card to LM.
I say, "Ready, set, go!!" and he runs to the try to find the letter on his card.
Then he races back to me and puts it in a bowl.
Then I give him another letter and off he goes again!

Cars, Trucks, Planes, Bugs, Dinosaurs, Legos, Sports, Animals, Space, etc. So here is our collection of tried and true crafts and activities for boys!
(P.S. And don't worry, I also have 2 little girls, and can verify that each of these are also 100% girl approved too!)

And if you are wondering where to get SUPPLIES for these crafts and activities, check out this post! You can get pretty much anything you need to make these crafts and activities and more all on Amazon. Like Craft foam, Construction paper, Paint, and so much more.

Build a Dinosaur!

Our recent theme for Preschool@Home was DINOSAURS! This is a great (and super easy) activity for helping kids learn and recognize shapes

This Dinosaur building activity uses craft foam, which means it can be used over and over again! And the possibilities are truly endless.
Or use some glue on the shapes and it could also become a one-of-a-kind dinosaur craft! No matter how you use it, this simple dinosaur activity will produce some very unique prehistoric creatures!

Supplies: Green craft-foam (The foam is perfect because it is very durable for little hands. Check out this huge pack of craft foam for a great price on Amazon! Scissors

Christmas Games with Gift Bows

This was one of our activities for our "Presents" - themed week. Was so easy and fun, just like our Candy Cane Hunt, and  And don't forget to check out this post where we show you how to use practically any Christmas wrapping paper to make cute file-folder Christmas games for kids! Keep reading to find out how you can create some super fun and easy games with gift bows!  These Christmas games would be great for parties or even as Birthday party games! All you need is a bag of bows and kids who like to have fun.

You will need: A bunch of gift bows (You can buy them fairly cheap this time of year. I actually bought this big bag of bows 3 years ago and have barely made a dent in using them---so finally I can put them to good use!)2 big bowls or buckets or bins.A child or children with lots of energy!
