Bunny Sticker Memory

Since Easter is only 3 weeks away, I figure we've got no time to lose! So this week we our theme for Preschool@Home is Bunnies! This activity was a cinch to put together, and LB(3) loves matching games so it was a hopping success! :)

Here's what you do:

• Find a pack of Easter Stickers (I actually found these cute stickers on clearance after Easter last year and saved them for this year)

• Cut a piece of cardstock or construction paper into rectangles or squares. However many you want for however many matches you want to play with. I did 8 cards.
• Then put the stickers on the papers. 

 

•  Then lay them face down and play memory with your child! (My bunnies didn't match exactly. But the colors matched, and that's good enough!)

Bug Sticker Memory

Our final BUG-themed activity of the week was this simple memory game. I bought a booklet of these cute little bug stickers at a craft store a year ago or so. I almost forgot I had them tucked away. But they were a perfect addition to our Bug week! And LB(2) has recently become a huge fan of memory games, so this was a big hit!

Prep:

• If you can find any, buy some bug stickers. If not, you can print off pictures of bugs, or be even MORE daring and attempt to draw your own!
• Cut a piece of cardstock into squares (however many you want! We did 12)
• Put the stickers (or pictures) on the squares.

Here's what you do:

• Turn the cards upside down and play memory! Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
• An added bonus for our stickers was that one of each of the matching bugs was big and the other was small. So when we found one, LB would say, "BIG bee" or "SMALL bee" etc. A fun way to learn about sizes.

Color Sticker Matching

I saw this idea on The Activity Mom,

I drew 6 boxes on the paper and wrote the words of each color. We got out a bunch of stickers and I handed them one at a time to LM, who then placed them in the corresponding colored box.

Patriotic Sticker Memory Game

Here is a dandy little memory game you can put together faster than you can sing Yankee-Doodle-Dandy!

Supplies:

• Patriotic Stickers
• Cardstock
• Scissors

Here's what you do:

• Cut cardstock into squares big enough to fit the stickers you have.
• Put 2 of each sticker on 2 squares so you have a match.
• Lay them all out on the floor or table upside down and have your kids turn over 2 at a time trying to find matches!

File-Folder Games: Stickers

Here is another fun, easy & inexpensive way to make your own file-folder games:

Use Stickers!

Supplies:

• File Folders
• Stickers
• Cardstock
• Scissors

Here's what you do:

1. Find stickers that you have 2 sheets of the same ones.
2. Stick one set of stickers onto the file folder, and the other onto the small pieces of cardstock.

Here's a quick way to create a fun BINGO game:

Use STICKERS!!

To create the Bingo game shown above, I used a pack of St. Patrick's Day stickers. The pack came with 6 identical sheets, so I used stickers from 3 sheets to create 3 boards, and 1 sheet to create the cards. 

First, I drew the BINGO grid on 3 sheets of cardstock, then placed the stickers inside each square.

Next, I cut out squares of cardstock and placed the same stickers I used on the boards on each one. 

I pulled out one card at a time and we each placed a lucky green coin (the same ones we used in our St. Patrick's Day Store activity) on the corresponding square. When someone got 4 in a row, they yelled, "BINGO!"

Sticker Scenes

Use stickers to re-create a scene from a favorite movie!
LM's favorite movie is Cars. He loves Lightning McQueen! We have some Cars stickers so I thought it would be fun to create one of the scenes from the movie with them, when McQueen races Doc but runs into a cactus and Mater has to tow him back up.

You could do this with any stickers from a movie or not. Create a fun scene with whatever stickers you have!
