FISH for shapes!

As a way of organizing a bit of preschool learning into our days, I'm going to try to have a theme for each week with 3-5 activities planned for me to do with the boys throughout the week.

So week one's theme was: FISH!

I cut out a bunch of fish from construction paper and drew shapes on them.
Then I "laminated" them with contact paper.
I placed paper clips on each of them, and the boys fished with a stick with a magnet attached to a string.

When they got a fish, we would say the shape.

Crafts & Activities for BOYS!

It can sometimes be tricky to find crafts and learning activities that will capture a little boy's attention span. Believe me, I know! I have 3 little boys and so many of our crafts and activities are along themes of things that little boys often love! Cars, Trucks, Planes, Bugs, Dinosaurs, Legos, Sports, Animals, Space, etc. So here is our collection of tried and true crafts and activities for boys!
(P.S. And don't worry, I also have 2 little girls, and can verify that each of these are also 100% girl approved too!)

Build a Dinosaur!

Our recent theme for Preschool@Home was DINOSAURS! This is a great (and super easy) activity for helping kids learn and recognize shapes
(This game is also a great way for preschoolers to learn!)
This Dinosaur building activity uses craft foam, which means it can be used over and over again! And the possibilities are truly endless.
Or use some glue on the shapes and it could also become a one-of-a-kind dinosaur craft! No matter how you use it, this simple dinosaur activity will produce some very unique prehistoric creatures!
